Merci Claude specialises in the sale of rare and one-of-a-kind antique & period clothing and accessories, sourced in the Paris region and on travels around France.

An intentional mix of vintage styles that run the gamut from 1800s Gothic funereal fashions to ‘make do and mend’ items that tell us stories of life in 1940s wartime Paris. More recent items of quirky originality also find their way to us!

Each find is carefully chosen for its stand-out quality; an unusual detail or a remarkable personal history. We love a bold statement sleeve, quirky sunglasses and OTT glamour from any decade.

Film & TV costume departments, haute couture houses and RTW designers are regulars. Dress historians and fashion nerds will also appreciate my small selection of rare fashion history reference books and magazines.
